You may be misremembering the 2nd amendment:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

It doesn’t say anything about the government being prohibited from using force against citizens. It’s about citizens being able to have firearms (arguably, with the caveat that they’re part of a militia, but that’s a whole other discussion).

Yeah, fuck USAID for using that money to [checks notes] rebuild in disaster areas, increase the yield of crops in impoverished regions, and distribute vaccines…

Naw, it’s a pretty bad headline. It specifically says “Europe freezes US travel”, when travel hasn’t been frozen and Europe as-a-whole didn’t do anything. “European airlines adjust US flight schedules due to reduced demand” would be more accurate.

It isn’t quite like the stereotype, but I and others have it out here in BC. However, it’s more like “a-bow-oot” (with “bow” pronounced like the front of a ship). Likewise with “out”, it’s like “ow-oot”. There’s a small but distinctive “oot” on the last part if you listen for it. Not sure how many regions have it, though, or how much more distinctive it is than the USian version.
