I went to an event at the maritime museum last winter and the land acknowledgement there was awesome but I can understand why some people might not get it. It was a several minute talk about how the presence of the museum is an occupation and part of a campaign of legitimizing that occupation, and how we should be aware of how we were by our presence participating in that dispossession. The city literally removed indigenous homes to build the museum. Honestly we need more land acknowledgments that make people uncomfortable because what we did was pretty fucked up.

Maybe giving industrial power users time of use billing would help shift demand a bit too, but it's not actually that big a deal for BC because hydro power output is quite dynamic. A bigger issue is probably shifting rainfall trends lowering existing reservoirs.

Is it possible to use these power hogs to level demand so we can increase the power generated by Nuclear reactors (in the US portion of the grid) and decrease the utilization of gas turbines?

Is this a joke or are you serious? What's "best" in a person's view depends on their values, (like the "best" food depends on what flavours a person likes, and their nutritional needs)

What values would a person need to have to consider the KJV the best? I don't think it's the easiest to read, nor the easiest to understand, nor the most accurate. I don't think it's the oldest English translation either and it's also biased. Is it the most poetic, maybe?

Hey can I ask you a question? Is English your primary language? I'm trying to understand why I so often see people omitting "to be" or using past tense as a future tense.

To me the sentence should be:

the white house needs to be burnt again.

Or

the white house needs burning again.

I've also seen

it needs fixed

Where the same rules should apply.

Is this the language evolving? A short hand through some phone keyboards/ autocorrect or something, or maybe you're translating from another language. It's totally fine, everyone understands what you're saying. I just am trying to figure out this phenomenon.
