I'm sorry to tell you this but while Weathering with You, Your Name, and Suzume don't sexualize kids the head producer does

I think it depends on your interpretation of "language" in 5E. I could see someone interpreting common and under-common being as similar as English and British English

Rangers and Rogues are two classes that are generally interpreted as being better traveled which I would say is the argument for having that many languages. PCs are also very different from NPCs, any character that you play is already exceptional, so having more money, more skills, more languages is to be expected. Also, it's not entirely unrealistic, there's tons of bilingual/trilingual people in the real world, I bet you know words and phrases in multiple languages. I know you're already fluent in English

Although, I don't know if this is RAW or commonly accepted home brew but generally anything under 3 INT isn't considered capable of understanding language and if you roll a character that dumb I'd argue they shouldn't be capable of speech

As a former 22 year old, I should have absolutely been on a leash

It's much less fun but I think Origin (2023) is a good follow up to American Fiction

Mario Bros is an objectively bad Mario movie, but as a weird cyberpunk 90s b-movie I think it has legs

The Bourne Identity 4/5 - Really solid action flick. The sounds are a little cartoony and dated but definitely holds up

Final Destination 5 4/5 - Honestly I think it's the best in the series. It has the right mix of murder contraptions and plot contrivance. The whole "you can steal time by killing other people" kinda comes out of nowhere but it does give us a villain

Final Destination Bloodlines 3.5/5 - I'm a little surprised to hear people call this the best in the series. The premise was interesting but I feel like despite the big cast there just weren't as many big kills. I think it got a little too bogged down in the plot and forgot we're here for Rube Goldberg murders

Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part 1 3.5/5 - That title didn't age well. I like it as a MI movie but it does feel like it lowers the tension from the previous ones, a likely necessity due to it being part 1. Maybe this score changes aftrf I see Final Reckoning

The Death and Life of Bobby Z 2/5 - A common criticism I have of these B movies is that there are just too many plots going on. This is another case of that, Laurence Fishburne's character is confusingly motivated, I don't really agree that the central concept of the movie is valid. It's fine, but I expected better from this cast

I would interpret them as additional languages. First and foremost, thieves' cant isn't a language per se. It's more of a series of code words and phrases to access shady parts of society. There may be local flavors, but it's all generally similar regardless of the language you speak. Gaining one additional rare language is barely even a boon. Comprehend Languages is a 1st level spell. Unless language barriers are a significant part of your campaign, everyone is just going to be speaking common and frankly most players forget that they have other languages on their sheet anyway

If possible create local backups from before he let AI go loose. Likewise, save local copies of all of your commits and document all of your commits thoroughly. This way when things start breaking in the future you have documentation that shows that you didn't submit faulty code, and if the AI changes your work you have proof of what you did. Additionally if it manages to truly break something you get to be the hero and save the project

If you want to go the extra mile I'd pay attention to what your boss submits and either clean it up behind him, or log all of the issues and errors. Option 1 keeps them happy without breaking anything, option 2 lets you make a presentation and argument that vibe coding is bad practice

Generally just add some more work into your general "cover your ass" activities. Alternatively you could gather evidence of the dangers of vibe coding, present your case to your boss, and hope he realizes it's a bad idea. But this is lemmy and I know we're not a confrontational bunch

I remember when they were trying to pass the ACA Republicans were screeching about government "death panels" that would decide it wasn't worth it to keep you alive. Anyway, I'm glad nothing like that ever came to exist

I know there's no internal logic here but why are they doing this?

I have the freedom to take Ivermectin to cure any disease or the government dictates my medical choices. The vaccine is evil and will make your heart explode but we won't let liberals take it by choice, even when we cheer for their death. Government shouldn't tell me how to live except "don't take this ultra dangerous drug that you've had 5 times before with no negative impacts"

Just let liberals be dumbass sheep taking their poison. Why are you stopping them from "killing themselves"?

Is it because the party of "small government" is actually more concerned with what adults do to their bodies?

If it wasn't for double standards they wouldn't have any standards at all

When janitor Winston Gooze is exposed to a catastrophic toxic accident, he’s transformed into a new kind of hero: The Toxic Avenger. Now, Toxie must rise from outcast to savior, taking on ruthless corporate overlords and corrupt forces who threaten his son, his friends, and his community. In a world where greed runs rampant… justice is best served radioactive.

For those of us who still use reddit on occasion, I'm sure you've noticed AI is running rampant over there, from the multitude of variations of "Am I the Asshole", "Malicious Compliance", and especially in the comments. A lot of the explain the joke subreddits and in particular "Peter Explain the Joke" seem to ask questions so obvious that I am curious if it's designed to test AI responses and use upvotes to score the results. I know there're a lot of dipshits out there but are there so many that those posts routinely reach the front page multiple times a day? Is it just plain old karma farming?

When someone links to a community if you open the post and then follow the link it works fine. If you're browsing with cards and try to follow the link from the card without opening the actual post it attempts to open the link in a browser which fails because the link is not the full URL. It would be nice if clicking the link would take me to that community on that instance, which is what it does when you open the post and click the link
