You can’t draw any conclusions from someone who’s lost to follow-up. This article suggesting the people lost to follow-up have higher regret rates is almost as bad as the original paper assuming that those recruited for the regret study represented the full number of regretters.

Trump is viewed favorably by 45% and unfavorably by 52%, while Republicans are viewed favorably by 43% and unfavorably by 54%.

That’s status quo for any Trump related poll. His supporters always push results in the 45-47% range.

So nothing’s changed with Trump, it’s literally just the Democrats who shit the bed.

Kids traumatized by school shootings express themselves via media that others find distasteful? Straight to jail.

Overabundance of guns makes the US the only major country in the world where school gun violence is a daily occurrence? “Thoughts and prayers…”

The heart was going “kethumpathumpadump,” the doctor put a finger up the guy’s butt, and then his heart reset to a normal “lub dub, lub dub.”

4 years after he’s safely out of office, at which point they’ll blame the Democrats.

Bud claims he’s “working” during his full waking hours. Nah, having a job where your decision making and planning is spread out throughout the day does not mean you’re working all the time.

No NVIDIA employee is going to buy that he’s continuously working while going to the movies, playing golf, hanging out with work buddies over lunch, etc. while they’re physically sitting at a desk working. Sure, there are pockets of work in there and productive things may happen, but he’s not working in the same sense his staff is.

Last book (reading with my kid): The Wild Robot Escapes. Definitely would recommend, nearly on par with the first.

Current book: The Wild Robot Protects. Would recommend if you’re a fan of the series; otherwise, it seems like a step down so far.

Yep. I assume since Candy Crush hasn’t been culturally relevant for like 10 years that it’s on its last leg anyway and this is a desperate attempt to prop up a dying company. Though I’m afraid to check though because I don’t want to see that it’s still posting record profits year after year.

"Most of level design has been wiped, which is crazy since they've spent months building tools to craft levels quicker," said one employee. "Now those AI tools are basically replacing the teams. Similarly, the copywriting team is completely removing people since we now have AI tools that those individuals have been creating."

Is that surprising? All along these developers have been training their replacement.

Thinking about work is not the same as working. Maybe he should invest some money into therapy for his work anxiety.
