Nobody thought differently, except maybe some Americans believing they were exporting democracy, liberty etc....

Would love to be able to use my protonmail account from Thunderbird I don't know if this is possible due to the encryption.

1.- Make your computer slower and slower every year for no real reason. 2.- Get your files virus infected for not using an antivirus software. 3.- To be fair, get some really cool games.

Well, I guess, then, You are complaining in the internet about people complaining in the internet about people complaining in the internet... You are the same thing you point out, and the cycle keeps going...

Here is the command that will render a LUKS encrypted device un recoverable
From the documentation.

5.4 How do I securely erase a LUKS container?

For LUKS, if you are in a desperate hurry, overwrite the LUKS header and key-slot area. For LUKS1 and LUKS2, just be generous and overwrite the first 100MB. A single overwrite with zeros should be enough. If you anticipate being in a desperate hurry, prepare the command beforehand. Example with /dev/sde1 as the LUKS partition and default parameters:

head -c 100000000 /dev/zero > /dev/sde1; sync

I can't remember but having my hard drive encrypted, I believe there is a single file that messing with it would render the drive not decryptable.

Hello Every time I hit an interesting post, it opens whatever web page in the same tab lemmy was opened, and thus I loose lemmy.

Is there a way to configure lemmy to open links in a new tab instead of the actual lemmy tab?

Today, Lichess users play more than a million games every day. Lichess is one of the most popular chess websites in the world while remaining 100% free. Most “free” websites subsist by selling ads or selling user data. Others do it by putting all the good stuff behind paywalls. Lichess does none of these things and never will. With no investors demanding profits, Lichess staff can focus on improving the site as their only goal.

Does anyone else feel that they should start respecting other countries and other ways of social organization?
