This is really, "what techs call it" and "what non-techs call it".

As a tech, I usually know what someone means when they "app".

It's "glitch" that drives me mad though. Glitch sounds like a ghost caused the error one tine only, versus some lazy coder.

A guy I know online: they shouldn't be knealing before football games. Don't mix sports and politics.

Same guy: we should be able to block some people from playing sports because Donald said so.

F their nonsense.

Yes, ARTEMIS is named for a Greek goddess. This jazz supergroup has super powers and they're on full display from beginning to end during this Tiny Desk. The multi-generational and multinational group is composed of pianist Renee Rosnes, drummer (and Tiny Desk alum) Allison Miller, bassist Noriko Ueda, trumpeter Ingrid Jensen and tenor saxophonist Nicole Glover, all bandleaders with their own prolific outputs.

But it's fun when those random song/movie/tv quotes become inside-jokes between you and your friends/family.

My SO and I say "I mean, overly..." (from the Coen brothers' Raising Arizona) in so many situations now it's lost all meaning it might have started with.

What's the endgame here?

Trump gets richer.

We just go back to Ma Bell, but this time with internet?

If Trump gets richer while that happens? Yes.

In the dark. With headphones.

Dying light, I love you but seriously, it's too much.

Thomas Hill (September 11, 1829 – June 30, 1908) was an American artist of the 19th century. He produced many fine paintings of the Californian landscape, in particular of the Yosemite Valley, as well as the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

Edward Chalmers Leavitt, a native of Providence, Rhode Island, was an early New England painter said to be the most renowned still life painter of his day in Providence, although today he is largely forgotten.

Little is known of Leavitt's career. Most of his paintings featured tabletop arrangements of flowers, fruit, antiques and vintage bric-a-brac, and were sought after by the Victorian middle class. The oil on canvas paintings often were marked by their sense of texture. During the 1870s and 1880s Leavitt frequently exhibited at the National Academy of Design. But as the new century approached, Leavitt's output and quality declined, and his reputation faded.
