Homeland Security assistant secretary Tricia McLaughlin disputed that ICE had separated the father and son while acknowledging that they were in separate custody.

Somehow, in a way we don't fully understand yet, they became separated and we just relocated them into different cells.

So basically, it's coming. They really are going on reverse all the way back.

Something tells me that's part of the strategy. An escalation of violence would work as an excuse for more repression, opening the opportunity to expand on the list of "enemies", then add more violence to the mix, rinse and repeat.
