I certainly don't buy a phone for its resale value. I buy it for features and functionality, so I've never understood this argument. Plus most Android phones are less expensive to begin with than iPhones.

Siri is that smart as well.
Heck, even the cinemas or IMAX could license the dynamic island from Apple!
My Android phone - they could widen the hole punch camera to a full dynamic island!
On a Pixel you can set up double tap to launch any particular app, turn on/off the flashlight, or go to any website. It's been there quite a while.
I think with a warrant cops can get info from iCloud if the phone was backed up, but AFAIK, the phone itself can't be cracked without Secret Service-level activity which isn't going to happen for a minor situation.
