I would like to contribute to lemmy but I have issue with the docker image. I got this error when trying to execute docker-compose up : "ERROR: Service 'lemmy' failed to build: the --mount option requires BuildKit. Refer to https://docs.docker.com/go/buildkit/ to learn how to build images with BuildKit enabled"

I executed the commands that was in the link in the error message and I still have the same issue.

Artifact was smart. They dedicated a whole tab for Canadian news

When someone posts something on a server he joined, the post doesn't appear directly on the community from another instance. Why is that?

I use Lemmy.world regularly and I have never seen any toxic content. Also, most of the instances have very loose requirements to join so why did it only decide to defederate 2 instances?

I never saw any toxic users on lemmy.world and if i found some I can simply block them.

The same way that you search communities from other lemmy instances

Why would I join an instance about music for example to end up subscribing to communities that have nothing to do with music?

So if I'm interested in many topics I have to create an account on every singles instance?
