what did they change about the quick tiles

I think it's got something to do with dopamine, but I really couldn't tell you anything beyond that.

[–] tilefan@lemm.ee 3 points 3 months ago (2 children)

I have an alarm that goes off an hour before I need to get up to take my stimulants. I find modafinil increases my dopamine levels. helps me focus, reduces drowsiness. I've used it for 24+ hour drives as well, and if i use it to stay awake that long on purpose, i am definitely wired.

I technically have a diagnosis of "sleep work shift disorder", which is one of the only things that's approved for, and there's no test for it other than, "are you working when you'd rather be sleeping? and are you sleeping when you'd rather be awake? okay you have it." I don't like Adderall or Ritalin or Strattera

I definitely can't get high on it, they only made it controlled because college students were trading around like you said, but honestly you could make this stuff available over the counter, you can already get ephedrine that way and I'd say that's considerably more dangerous

something like that, yeah

[–] tilefan@lemm.ee 3 points 5 months ago (1 children)

that's really cool. the one with inara in the center I think might be my favorite

[–] tilefan@lemm.ee 6 points 5 months ago

I don't think I'm interested in that, thank you though

oh, I wasn't trying to be dickish about it, but I was pointing out that fighting a Canada goose is much different than fighting a pelican. a pelican, there seem to be multiple ways to hold it off without really hurting it, with a goose, the way they attack you can really only go for the head or neck which probably means you're going to kill it.

I was very high at the time so the rest is pretty much rambling.

I'm suggesting that you try contributing to a community before being an asshole in it. the first rule that will help you there is reading the name of a community before being a dickwad.

I'm scared of needlessly hurting animals. I couldn't have made that more plain. this isn't reddit, you don't just wade in insulting people over things you have no understanding of.

then why do they keep trying to eat things that are bigger than them

[–] tilefan@lemm.ee 2 points 6 months ago (2 children)

they couldn't be naturally offended by bananas, as what we recognize as a banana is completely man-made. they must be unnaturally offended by it, or we bred the banana in such a way that it looks exactly like something that used to be offended by

probably pelican dildos.

edit - turns out rebooting it five times is what works.

when I'm using any of my Plex players, it acts like my server is turned off. when I go into settings, it says that my server is unavailable with a secure connection. I've tried restarting everything, rebooting everything, I can't watch my server.

once a year I email my favorite flashlight manufacturer to ask if they've finally made a flashlight that just turns on and off when you push the button, and every year they're like, "no, but thanks so much for your feedback!"

be honest, have any of you ever used the flashing feature on your flashlight? did it actually come in handy? handy enough that I have to scroll past it every single time I want to turn my flashlight on or off

watching Wild Green Yonder with a friend, me watching the movie on my Plex, them watching the version broken into episodes on Hulu.

i pulled Hulu up to make sure i stayed synced, and the Hulu version quickly pulled ahead of mine. i didn't notice a missing scene but i wasn't paying close attention to the Hulu version.

when Hulu auto-cycled to the next episode, even with outro and intro credits, it brought it back to sync with my version. we're ⅓ through episode two, and Hulu is currently 14 seconds ahead, although we started this episode synced.

there's like a dozen different subredd!ts but I'd prefer not to.

every third post is still sponsored.

the one's over on Reddit all have cryptic names so I'm not entirely sure how to search

I repatched and reinstalled it, it won't even open

I don't take it very often because I don't want an addiction sneaking up on me, but it certainly makes crowds more manageable. almost enjoyable

I quit smoking about 6 years ago. about a year ago, I bought some nicorette lozenges to try to cop a nicotine buzz and got absolutely nothing. some people are telling me that nicotine pouches hit better, but I'm not sure what the science behind that is.

what's your preferred smokeless nicotine delivery system?
