It always sounds so deliberate.

100%. When having this debate I always bring up that the actual "woke" legislation being passed is at best minimal and pandering, and has 0 effect on most people lives. It is a fictional boogie meant to fill the void of abortion as an issue.

But right wing media has been extremely successful and making it seem like this is all the left thinks about. In that sense it is true that the AOC/Sanders tour is a great way to reclaim the conversation, but it is also true that the left needs to fight the narrative that they are the woke party if they want to stop America's rightward drift.

Seems to be an unpopular opinion, but she is right. I think the people upset with her in the comments do not live in red areas.

As stupid as it sounds, that is all people seem to care about. The right used to have abortion as a drum to bang. Now that Roe is overturned the right needed a new social cause, and they found 'woke' which is WAY more effective than abortion since it seems to excite both religious, and non-religious.

If you go and talk with people in rural areas you will be shocked by how prominent this issue is in their minds, and I believe it will always beat economic issues for them.

Echoing what others have said, I think most people realize how hard it is to make a living in the arts. I think another part of it is with the recent awareness for workers rights, the idea of being a 'starving artist' has lost its glamour.

Whether or not you believe in the afterlife, the answer is the same. Bring joy to others, help people who need it, have people that depend on you. If there is confirmed no afterlife, I would keep living my life the same because I want my kids to have a great life, and grow up to be great people. That is a mission that makes me want to live as long as I can.

I have been working on a hobby program that calculates the times of moonrise and moonset froma given location. for the formulas i have been using Jean Meeus' Astronomical Algorithms book. So far I have successful been able to calculate the ascension and declination for any given date. Currently I am working on the rising setting and transit (chapter 15). My functions work with his example of Venus, but trying with the moon I do not get accurate results. Using the interpolation method in the book does not seem to add accuracy. Am I missing something? Are there specific considerations for the moon that are not included in the book? I would greatly appreciate any advice given!

I have had this plant for several years. Within the past couple months I noticed a few leaves yellowing, but lately it has accelerated greatly to where about half have fallen. I water regularly and keep the soil moist. The pot is large and does have drainage holes. I stopped watering about 2 weeks ago to let the soil dry out but that hasnt seemed to help. This year I have noticed earthworms and centipedes in the soil if I dig around.
