I hate it when that happens.
This guy is absolutely desperate for a friend who might be able to help him politically. Anyone to get him on tv. He’s like a scab that prople keep picking. Loathesome human.
I’ve filed for 7 years straight and never owed a cent. Oddly, got a little back, 2 years straight. Might have been the covid money, which even more laughable as I didn’t set foot, much less work, in the US for the entirety of the pandemic. Single, no property or other taxable assets and no additional sources of income outside my monthly paycheck from my Euro employers. If I, me broke that $126k threshold, then I’d have to pay something. Getting there. Let’s see if the USA doesn’t collapse on itself first*

You won’t have to pay anything unless you’re pulling in the equivalent of >$126,500 USD in foreign income. Then you’re taxed on what you make above that. My H&R Block lady here in Germany told me all about it when I file every year. And boy howdy is fuuuuucking stupid that I’m having to file US taxes every year. I could stop, but then everything falls apart for me.
My favorite is when Google Play Protect pops-up when I want to update Smart Tube and Downloader on my TV box. Nah, that’s OK Google. Thanks for looking out, though.

Newer versions of these can have par levels set for the temps and I don’t know who thinks 74f is a comfortable room temp, but no… it is not.
Fortunately, internet legends went on to explain how to put these into service mode, thereby defeating their laughable levels. Just gotta remember to put it back to their mode when you’re checking out.
But, yeah, these things fkn crank coldness. And the electric bill. And the environment.
Are CDs actually this coveted and valuable? I have a crate of hundreds that I haven’t touched since I digitized them all at the start of the millienia.
What’s an average, alternative/punk, CD going for to collectors? I might be poised to clean house like I did with my records a while back. I didn’t think we’d ever want to use CDs again.
Are 8-Tracks anywhere on the horizon? I have Van Halen “Women and Children First” that I’ve kept as a historical artifact to illustrate the folly of ancient man.

Source: moved here 7 years ago. Germans are a weird bunch. Change is not welcome in just about any form.
Nice to see them adopt the open source apps, though. They can probably get some screaming deals on some US Robotics 56k modems on eBay Local.
