I'm binge watching James Hoffmann. Easy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They didn't quite get it right:

  1. The perpetrator was not due to be deported, he withdrew his request for asylum and pledged to leave on his own accord.

  2. Merz didn't agree to start a coalition with the AfD, they merely agree on a key point (which is increased number of deportations for criminal immigrants).

Coffee dosage tray with a water sprayer (wetting the beans helps to stick the grounds together, so they are easier to distribute and don't stick to the housing of the grinder, which otherwise happens due to electrostatics).

While the company stops short of directly saying as much, it sure feels like the preposterously long ads we’re seeing here are an example of one tool in Google’s arsenal for effectively disabling YouTube playback for violators of the site’s ToS.

I don't get it. When my adblocker works, I don't get to see this shit. Only if it fails I'llbe confronted with hour-long ads, so the incentive to find a better blocker is even higher?

I'm using signal in parallel, 20-30 people are on there vs. 200+ on whatsapp.

I've encouraged a few, but not enough for a full switch.

Perfect timing, enjoy! My favorite country, used to live there for a while some years ago.

Nobody but a handful of nerds uses it though. You won't get your grandparents and less tech literate friends to leave whatsapp in droves, simple as that.

Yeah calibre is amazing, and also integrates anti-drm plugins nicely. Recently I've been reading more and more on my phone so file formats don't matter anymore, but it's still a great software just for managing your ebook archive.

As a mobile reader I can also really recommend ReadEra (free and ad free), they do have a premium version, but all that adds is synchronize books via cloud storage to other devices and sync reading progress.

Yeah but Latin pronouns are one and the same for every person of a certain gender, you don't need to associate a different set with different people. Way more complex to retain.

I thought that's building code, literally never seen any other outlets in the UK, as well as in Malaysia where they adopted the system. Though why it is or became code, I've no idea.

Yeah same problem. Worst were CRT monitors or old tube-TVs, they made a constant sound quite like a tinnitus.
