Biscuits. I am in tears, that was hilarious and I needed that. Thank you.

I had a coworker say cisgender was an offensive word. She is typically very openminded and supportive of the LGBTQ+ community so I was surprised.
Turns out she didn’t know what it meant. She just heard people use it with disdain and assumed it was offensive.
I do not understand other people.
My niece is non-binary and we run into this issue. Now, I just ask people who identify as non-binary. “When there isn’t a good non-binary term to use, do you prefer me to use male or female words?”
So far, the non-binary people I’ve asked seem to appreciate the question.
You can’t buy me new dresses, that would be unethical. But, I bet my husband would appreciate some new dresses. ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)
Anyone who has a 401k likely has Tesla stock, unfortunately.
Yeah, could have been called “kids are learning how circuits work thanks to TikTok trend” and suddenly the story has a whole other meaning
Ironically, I’ve learned a lot of new words and I can directly thank Trump for that. Words like insurrection and stagflation….
Dollar Shave Club makes 6 blade razors in the US. I just saw them at the grocery store yesterday.
I’m open to try it! I also have ADHD and remembering to take my medication is a challenge for me too.
Is it something that you have to take everyday to be effective or can you just take it as needed? I hate taking sleep aids like ZzzQuil.
I frequently have trouble sleeping. After a few days of little to no quality sleep, I become unable to fall asleep.
The best way I’ve been able to describe it like a car battery. It helps start the car and when the car drives it keeps the battery charged. But if the battery gets too low it can’t start the car to recharge.
It’s like the part of my brain that tells my body to go into sleep mode hasn’t been charged by getting sleep. I’m so tired I can’t think and I feel absolutely awful, but the sleep doesn’t come.
I have to take a sleep aid when that happens.
This is just anecdotal, but if it works like that for the people who died, it makes sense to me.
Why you gotta call me out like that? This is annoyingly accurate. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I 100% fixed my credit score with these types of shitty high interest loans. I took it from 450 to 700 pretty fast.
I realized that credit score formulas are heavily weighted by payment history and credit balances. I had no credit card balances but I had bad payment record from being a stupid kid in college.
Once that dawned on me, I put all my debt into a high interest loan. Made a payment or two then my credit score would go up a bit, and I’d refinance to a somewhat lower interest rate. Those high interest loans kill most people on interest so they don’t have origination fees. I kept refinancing to better rates until I got down to a reasonable number. By then my credit score was 700 and I could make consistent affordable payments until it was gone.
I wouldn’t recommend this to most people. It takes a lot of research and planning. The financial landscape has changed a lot since then too.
NOTE: Just because I had a success story with these doesn’t mean I think the types of loans are good. I found a loophole.
I think this industry is fucking gross and they target people in my situation with little knowledge of how loans and credit work. It’s a shame the CFPB couldn’t do more to stop it and now they are dead too.
