Organisers of today’s pro-Palestine protest in Sydney have successfully addressed Premier Minns’ ‘concerns’ about the impact it would have on traffic, by seemingly getting the whole city off the roads and marching along side them.

“Turns out roughly a hundred thousand people wanted to cross the bridge at the time of the march,” said one organiser, “which would have been the worst traffic Sydney has ever seen, but luckily they were all protesters walking around so it was fine.”

The peaceful protest, which Minns wanted to have police break-up by force, has potentially broken records both in terms of protest size, and lack of car accidents in Sydney on a rainy day.

“The Canadian government appears to have pursued a strategy of rushing through a record-breaking number of arms export permit approvals to Israel prior to publicly committing to pause approving any new ones,” Arm Embargo Now explained in their report. “This was then quietly undermined by a series of exceptions and loopholes,” researchers wrote, suggesting “the government’s policy shifts were… aimed at diffusing public criticism while maintaining material support.”

Seems like there's a butt-load of GM-guidance material out there. In particular things like the Lazy GM's Guide. But it's harder to find good, accessible and reasonably comprehensive guide for building good players and player arcs.

I'm a new GM, and have a few new players who having fun, but are not feeling feeling like they know how to develop their character well. Any useful material I can give them would be appreciated.

We're currently playing a game that's mechanically a bit more like PbtA (not crunchy), but advice for any game/system is welcome.

It felt for a few years that things were looking up. No one really cared when I transitioned, people were largely supportive.

Since 2016 though, things have been in a rapid decline. I’m exhausted, I feel like I have a target on my back, and I’m terrified.

I want to move but the economy is crashing and I have some semblance of stable work now. Not enough to save for a move, not enough to get above water on the debt my ex left me, but enough that hopefully I’ll be able to keep paying rent and keep food in my fridge.

I just can’t imagine another three years of this.

3. Budget: No budget. Any game i can buy from steam or emulate on my steam deck.

Some days ago my wife asked me to let her play with my steam deck. I gave it to her and helped her find a game to play starting with stardew valley. She didn't like it so I tried to find different games from gamepass list (via geforce now), my steam library and my emulators (and i have a lot of roms believe me)... Her respond? "You don't have any good games" 😱. So you understand i have to change that by finding a suitable game for her! She is not much of a gamer, we played it takes two, split fiction and resident evil 6 together and some fifa because she is a football fun 🤣. She also played Howard's legacy because she is a big HP fun. She enjoyed RE6 and HL more, takes two and SF not so much because those were too difficult for her (moving the camera around was the biggest problem i think). She also likes mobile card games so i was considering about balatro but I want something she can play without internet connection because we are going on vacation tomorrow. I'm looking for something with simple controls and gameplay and not much talking and cutscenes so she wont lose her interest at the beginning.
