In case you were worried about the roads being too safe, you can rest easily knowing that Teslas will be rolling out with unsupervised "Full Self Driving" in a couple days.

It doesn't seem to be going great, even in supervised mode. This one couldn't safely drive down a simple, perfectly straight road in broad daylight :( Veered off the road for no good reason. Glad nobody got badly hurt.

You know how in America you’re basically required to own a car? The car ownership-insurance-industrial complex likes it that way.

So I was reading about the Ukrainian dude who got assassinated and the article mentioned he was about to get into his car, a black Mercedes-Benz.

You never read about anyone calling the police with their blue iPhone.

Or a description of a suspect wearing a red banana republic t-shirt.

Or that a young man was stabbed with a green santoku knife from Victorinox.

It's like free advertising.

The car industry needs you to design and build the greatest car parks that simple town life hasn't seen before. Introduce the need for car commuting and turn neighborhoods into car parks! Use propaganda to convince people to pay you for it. Fight people that see through your oily business.

The car industry has identified a few places on earth that do not know THE FREEDOM OF CAR DEPENDENCY. So they hired you to increase car sales and oil consumption. How? By building the greatest car parks ever!

In case you thought cars would become safer as technology developed... rest assured, Tesla is finding newer and ever-dumber ways to make their cars dangerous to occupants (and others).

TL;DR: If you're in a Tesla and it loses power (like in a fire), the only way to open the doors is often an unlabeled wire behind either two panels or a speaker grill. Tesla owners are DIYing janky rip cords to make that wire easier to pull to escape.
