United Auto Workers President Shawn Fain called Tuesday for Congress to "step up" for the working class and for the fight for "economic justice" to happen in "the streets," characterizing a failure to achieve the goal as a "national security risk."

Fain's prepared remarks were scheduled to come alongside comments from Sean O'Brien, president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, and Sara Nelson, international president of the Association of Flight Attendants-Communication Workers of America, during a hearing before the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions called “Standing Up Against Corporate Greed: How Unions are Improving the Lives of Working Families."

Frankly, if the G7 led by the U.S. had respected other countries' sovereignty and prioritized the world peace and development, the situations in the Korean peninsula, Europe and the Middle East region would not have worsened as today and thorny problems would not have been spawned in different parts of the world.

The conclusion is that such a source of trouble as G7 only harmful to the normal development of mankind is best advised to disappear as soon as possible.

It is said that a dog's bark will never make a camel go astray.

No matter how the old-age group of "aristocrats" may raise its voice, the human society will advance forward along its own orbit.

i24news.tv headline: IDF releases footage of Hamas firing RPG from Gaza City hospital

The actual video: https://n.opnxng.com/michaelh992/status/1724055703579447440

Note that the footage is NOT footage of Hamas firing a rocket from the hospital. It shows a man walking with what appears to be a rocket launcher near the hospital. Then it has an infrared bit showing a flash of light launching from near the hospital. "footage of Hamas firing RPG from Gaza City hospital" was a lie.

But more importantly, the vital missing context: two days before the video was released, the IDF moved tanks to within 20 metres of the same hospital, which is the al-Quds Hospital, the 2nd biggest hospital in Gaza City: https://www.aljazeera.com/news/liveblog/2023/11/11/israel-hamas-war-live-pleas-for-help-as-israel-bombards-gaza-hospitals

So the video just shows someone with anti-tank weapons in a location where the IDF put its tanks.

Long read but a good analysis of how Chomsky is not as radical or marginalized as his reputation makes it seem.

Jacob Chansley, the spear-carrying rioter whose horned fur hat, bare chest and face paint made him one of the more recognizable figures in the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the U.S. Capitol, apparently aspires to be a member of Congress.

Online paperwork shows the 35-year-old Chansley filed a candidate statement of interest Thursday, indicating he wants to run as a Libertarian in next year’s election for Arizona’s 8th Congressional District seat.

U.S. Rep. Debbie Lesko, a 64-year-old Republican representing the district since 2018, announced last month that she won’t seek re-election. Her term officially ends in January 2025.

Chansley pleaded guilty to a felony charge of obstructing an official proceeding in connection with the Capitol insurrection.

He was sentenced to 41 months in prison in November 2021 and served about 27 months before being transferred to a Phoenix halfway house in March 2023. Chansely grew up in the greater Phoenix area.

Chansley is among the more than 700 people who have been sentenced in relation to Capitol riot-related federal crimes. Authorities said Chansley was among the first rioters to enter the Capitol building and he acknowledged using a bullhorn to rouse the mob.

Although he previously called himself the “QAnon Shaman,” Chansley has since disavowed the QAnon movement.

He identified himself as Jacob Angeli-Chansley in the candidate statement of interest paperwork filed with the Arizona Secretary of State’s office.

The U.S. Constitution doesn’t prohibit felons from holding federal office. But Arizona law prohibits felons from voting until they have completed their sentence and had their civil rights restored.

Emails sent to Chansley and his attorney seeking comment on his political intentions weren’t immediately returned Sunday.

In addition, we continue to have serious concerns with the resolution’s invocation of Article 4 of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination and Article 20 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights to justify undue restrictions on freedom of expression.

I've tried to read about the history of Circassians in Palestine by myself, but I still feel like even with some very rudimentary historical background, that I don't really understand the modern political climate of the global Circassian diaspora regarding Israel and Palestine. In particular I'm curious about the climate of Circassians living under the Zionist Entity regarding the ongoing war. My impression is that there exists some division among Circassians regarding Palestine, even within the Zionist Entity — but my impression doesn't really matter, now does it?

So please, send me your thoughts and analyses, your resources, your Circassian perspectives, whatever you may have that may be relevant...

...Which is probably nothing, frankly, because not a lot of people who aren't Circassian — at least outside of West Asia — seem to see those fellows as anything other than at best a passing mention or footnote in Russian and Middle Eastern history treatises, or at worst as an opportunity to make eyeroll-worthy Star Trek jokes.

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) appeared to wave an Israeli flag at protestors demanding a cease-fire in the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas.

“Jackass @JohnFetterman saw veterans getting arrested and laughed,” the veterans against war group About Face posted Thursday on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, alongside a video of what appeared to be the Pennsylvania senator walking by a group of protestors and waving an Israeli flag.

“We asked to see @SenGillibrand. We were put in cuffs. We need leaders who listen to veterans demanding a #CeaseFireNow,” the post continued.

The group was arrested for protesting in New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand’s (D) office in the Capitol.

Fetterman has consistently been a defender of Israel during its conflict with Hamas. He called out some of his Democratic colleagues’ speed to blame Israel for a hospital blast last month.

“It’s truly disturbing that Members of Congress rushed to blame Israel for the hospital tragedy in Gaza,” Fetterman said in a post on X.

“Who would take the word of a group that just massacred innocent Israeli civilians over our key ally?” he added.

On Wednesday, Fetterman posted a video of what he said were “the posters of the innocent Israelis kidnapped by Hamas” displayed in his front office.

“They will stay up until every single person is safely returned home,” he said in his post.

Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel early last month that began the current conflict and left more than 1,400 Israelis dead. It also took about 240 hostages.

Israeli forces started a ground operation into Gaza late last month, even amid warnings that the operation could worsen an already dire humanitarian situation in the territory. More than 10,000 Palestinians have died since the start of the war at the beginning of last month, according to the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry.
