The story is absolutely fake, however...

It's satirical. It's basically making fun of something that does occur on the subreddit. There is very much a double standard going on over there, and this story is a satire of that.

Someone up there ^ found the original post but not the gender swapped version. But it's still a made up dumb story.

People noticed when the same story was reposted with different characters. The reposts got deleted
