I don't understand, can someone explain? does the character on the left not have a shadow? but she casts a shadow on herself.

Do Japanese vampire generally not have shadows? I've not heard that trope about other blood suckers.

It's a general vampire thing because back in the day many mirrors where made out of polished silver and somehow vampires and silver don't go well together.
