I didn’t end up taking the restavit because it expired last month… debating whether to take it tonight anyway and get a fresh box on Monday.

I’m sick of the sleeping pattern I’m stuck in. I do wake up but can’t seem to get up or do anything and end up going back to sleep.

IDK much about pharmaceutical chemistry, but I wouldn't be too concerned about the expiry date. They usually decided with a large error of margin. The sooner the company says something has 'expired' the sooner it needs to be replaced.

The other aspect with the expiry date is it is generally about the chemical compounds breaking down and becoming less effective rather than it becoming unsafe to consume. So expired medications may not work quite as well as if they are in date but are not harmful.

That’s good. You always hear not to take expired medication and usually I don’t but I am not feeling up to going and getting more right now

Usually because people take it, it's not as effective so they take more. Very easy to overdose that way.

A lot of "expired" stuff ends up being snagged by vets, the lower efficacy doesn't matter as much when you're doing pet sized doses

Would they take Restavit? I know there’s a crossover with human drugs and they do take donations of leftover meds (to give free to pets of homeless clients) but it might be weird to give them expired human meds.

I also have a few tubes of Melbcat’s thyroid meds from like 3 years ago but they may not be good still

I don't actually know if they take from non-pharmacy sources at all

I know my vet takes unused meds from pets that have passed, and I gave them both the extra bottle of oral gel plus the oil based 4cyte that I didn’t want to force Melbcat to take

Agree with others, would be totally safe to use
