Things in the US are increasingly unstable and the markets have begun reacting to that. It's not looking very promising right now.

Personally, I've begun trying to save as much money as possible and have stayed on top of my deep pantry. I've also stored even more food that I had before.

How is everyone else preparing for a recession? Any tips?

Don't forget to consider backup power options while you still have some income - gearscouts.com helped me find a budget LFP power station at like $0.50/Wh that's been clutch during outages and saves me from tossing freezer food.

I’m lucky to live in a place with reliable power and few natural disasters. My chest freezer will keep food frozen for longer than any power outage I’ve had.

Of course it can still happen, but if it hasn’t in 20 years of living here, it seems pointless to try to prevent.
