Basic Rules:

Revisionism — No downplaying or denying atrocities past and present. Calling Tankies shills, foreign/federal agents, or bots also falls under this rule. Extremists exist. They are real. Do not call them shills or fake users as it handwaves their extremism.
Tankies can explain their views but may be criticised or attacked for them. Any slight infraction on the rules above will immediately earn a warning and possibly a ban.
Off-topic Discussion — Do not discuss unrelated topics to the point of derailing the thread. Stay focused on the direct content of the post, rather than engaging in unrelated arguments.
Brigading — If you're here because this community was linked in another thread, please refrain from voting, commenting or manipulating the post in any way, this includes alt accounts. All votes are public, and if you are found to be brigading, you will be permanently banned.
You'll be warned if you're violating the instance and community rules. Continuing poor behaviour after being warned will result in a ban or removal of your comments. Bans typically only last 24 hours, but each subsequent infraction will double the amount. Depending on the content, the ban time may be increased. You may request an unban at any time.

DB0 is becoming a tankie instance.
They seem to regard solidarity with tankies as more important than solidarity with genocided groups, at the least.

There was a time when Holodomor and Uyghur denial was removed whenever a tankie posted it on Dbzer0.
Apparently that time is long past, and the admins now regard Holodomor and Uyghur genocide denial as perfectly kosher, and even support it.
I guess pro-genocide posters give more satisfying asspats than anti-genocide posters.
It is kind of weird to suddenly be a tankie. I wonder what happened.

Maybe I've just been OOTL, but this whole thing has really saddened me. Because until now, I had really positive feelings towards DB0. I thought they were a good leftist instance with a focus on freedom and anti-authoritarianism. Their actions in the other thread (and, notably, where they have chosen to remain inactive), along with comments in this thread, have completely flipped that on its head. It's feeling no better than ML.
For the past year or so, I've noticed a significant number of db0 users and admins downvoting posts that are otherwise widely accepted as tankie. Often posts mentioning Davels, lemmy.ml admin and proud tankie, are downvoted by the db0 admins.
They also regularly target specific comments and threads that are linked from their snark community. Targeting comments and threads that are critical of tankies, while commenting and manipulating their own posts that like to give Tankies the benefit of doubt, or otherwise entirely supportive of such extremism.
I called them out on it, and they acted very predictably, doubling down on pro-authoritarian and tankie drivel.
The admins are very quiet when it comes to criticising tankies. They even have prominent tankies, such as Cowabees, Diva, and even Davel, actively engaging in their threads and Matrix channels. They like to call us a nazi bar because one single user said the word "degenerate", so using their own nonsense, that means they're a tankie bar, full and through.
also @TriflingToad@sh.itjust.works, I plan on making a full rundown of the events, but unlike db0, I don't leave anything out.
This sounds like evidence against the claim, does it not? If they're downvoting tankie content, that makes them less likely to be tankies, no?
