Looks like Yarrabyte has gone missing in action again. I think they may have a secret life or maybe a second job or something. Or just slept in.

okay

I'm a bit shaken, heart racing

just called in an assault I heard and saw next to the train station across the road

husband followed after he put shoes on

guy dragged a woman away

cops came within 5 minutes ,

we heard her scream again and the cops went to chase them down

no other neighbours came out

bad people come to quiet places 😠

Thankyou for what you did. I hope she's ok, and I hope things quieten down for you πŸ’œ

😭

cops came so quick

I used the metro emergency system at the train station, they are well trained and so fast

I think the attacker followed or waited for a target near the train crossing at the station to drag them to the dark park

Is this the red button?

Good on you for calling for help.

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 points 1 month ago

yes, there is a red button, a blue button and a speaker

there was no one else around

the victim was most likely the only person who got off the train

it's a very quiet area,

the screaming was very loud

Holy shit. I hope you’re okay and that she is too

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 6 points 1 month ago

I'm fine,

I hope she was found, one cop chased on foot crossing the railway line, the other took the car

Thank you for taking action - that must have been so scary

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 8 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I wish I was strong enough to intervene, all i could do was call for help

[–] anotherspringchicken@aussie.zone 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I know there’s a strong inclination to jump in and help (and good on you for wanting to), but it’s actually better not to put yourself at risk, because then you might be injured too

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 points 1 month ago

yup, he might have had a knife

[–] imoldgreeeg@aussie.zone 4 points 1 month ago

Holy shit. Calling for help is awesome. I would not have thought that area of town at all unsafe at this time of night (I am a Westie too) 😲 that's scary.

Makes me glad I live VERY close to train station in a well lit area. But still.

That’s terrifying. Hope you are ok. Your quick actions may have saved her. Hope the police were able to track down and intervene. Unfortunately, bad people are everywhere.
