I didn't see the video, so I don't know the whole context. But how can you use clanker to be racist? It refers to only robots and AI.

I haven’t seen the video either but when ‘clanker’ was first suggested there were some people who gave some weird “I finally get to say a slur” energy that, rightfully so, made some people uncomfortable.

I think you missed the point of the video. I think it was pretty obvious it was satire and directly trying to provoke that kind of feeling

Isn't this just a 2050 retake of the trope of southern US racist staff not serving black people in the 1950s, but with a robot twist to highlight the weird slurs that people used to use at the time and how stupid they sound?

I mean I think the idea of the video is to paint her in a bad light, not her customers.
