Whether people think it's necessary or not is irrelevant.
Fascism is an open expression of political violence. It needs violence, it creates violence, it supports violence, it thrives on violence.
Political violence is already here. It just may not have reached you yet.
Sadly, I have to agree with this. It does not necessarily follow that the response must be violent, but we need to be honest about what's happening. Trump is already using violence against us, it's just a matter of who has and hasn't been affected by it yet.
Also, when people talk about opposing political violence, in reality they're mostly opposing political violence spreading to the elites responsible.
Notice there was no mainstream discussion of political violence until an elite who encouraged violence got shot.
The question is how you respond.
