Sure, what is your opinion on Metal Organic Frameworks?
In my opinion, while it definitely opened a new field, I don't really see the real world application yet. There were a lot of research in my university regarding this, but it was all only: might be, could be, maybe. It hasn't really found its killer application yet. It is not comparable at the time of price winning to for example the 2022 for the Click chemistry or 2019 for the lithium battery.
But that doesn't mean MOFs are a bad candidate for Nobel prize or I don't want them to have it. I just hope we quickly find a great application for them. But it might also be that it is more similar to relativity theory and it will take decades till we understand what this could be used for.

Yes, there are already applications, but not yet at a level where you can say: that's changing the world.
