Ten bucks says Netanyahu calls the Nobel Peace prize antisemitic.

Or this guy's prize explodes after he is on his way home.

All these awards going out and none going to Trump.

They're playing a dangerous game ignoring his achievements in all these fields.

the chronically unsarcastic

I was in a band of that name. Most of our songs were about how much we liked tennis and cycling

Regardless of if this is true or a joke, I feel that it would be sarcastic enough to count as the band having existed.

We gonna talk about the actual science he did?

Sure, what is your opinion on Metal Organic Frameworks?

In my opinion, while it definitely opened a new field, I don't really see the real world application yet. There were a lot of research in my university regarding this, but it was all only: might be, could be, maybe. It hasn't really found its killer application yet. It is not comparable at the time of price winning to for example the 2022 for the Click chemistry or 2019 for the lithium battery.

But that doesn't mean MOFs are a bad candidate for Nobel prize or I don't want them to have it. I just hope we quickly find a great application for them. But it might also be that it is more similar to relativity theory and it will take decades till we understand what this could be used for.

The thing was used in a new water filter iirc

Yes, there are already applications, but not yet at a level where you can say: that's changing the world.

Thankful that this was one Palestinian who Israel did not murder. How many others, you think, haven't been as lucky?

'There was no such thing as Palestinians' - Golda Meir.
