I don't think "ironic" means what you think it does.

Also, assuming everyone will have a traditional monogamous heterosexual relationship that they want want to validate in a way that's acceptable to monotheists? Nah.

Not assuming anything, I am not sure ironic is the right word in this context (english is not my language). I was more thinking about time, aging, getting wiser maybe and taking this bad meme for what it is on one hand, and on the other hand smiling in the inside about those differences at the same time annoying and adorable with the significant other.

That is why I enjoy the comments wars much more than the meme this time.
