I have never connected a TV to the Internet. I do have a smart TV but I just use it for my computer.
Whats the benefit of using a smart tv for your computer?

Those are incredibly hard to find, if they even exist.

It's part of the reason TVs are so cheap today, they can serve you ads. You can technically find displays that don't have ads, but they're far more expensive. Better to just neuter a smart tv for personal use.
