You are not wrong, but I also want to say that the antivax movement started in the UK with Andrew Wakefield. Then US made it way more widespread.

Fascism is an international movement. Corporations have always favoured fascism because of the potential for insane short term profit and almost complete capture of the state. Now that corporations are in control of all of the average persons communications, they're easy prey for disinformation and propaganda.
