This makes good sense to me, I’m happy to walk to the corner for mail to make the job 1000% more efficient for the carriers
in many places they've always done this. I grew up in Cambridge Ontario and when I was a kid we had a neighbourhood mailbox thing that we'd have to go to every day to get mail.
My childhood mail carrier had to walk up the front stairs for every house on my block!
