Do you think that when we have full age verification in place and children are banned from social media people will stop censuring the word "fuck" in memes? Because if yes I will start supporting it.
It's not for "the kids". It's for the advertisers. So in short, no.
How does that work exactly? The advertiser tells platform not to display heir ads next to content with "fuck" in it because they are scared someone will screenshot it and accuse them of promoting indecency or something? I get it that for example a gun manufacturer would want to avoid displaying their ads next to content about suicide but who would be bothered by content with "fuck" in it? Other than maybe some kid brands.
Pretty much but less direct. It's generally all grouped together by advertisers as 'problematic content'. It's quite rare for platforms to get very direct feedback so they cast a very wide net.
Even Signal removed the finger emoji, I loved exchanging fingers with my mates.. What a fucking dystopia!
In what dystopia do you live? I still have the finger. And I am happy to exchange it
I also have it, and this is from the built-in Signal emoji interface and not my keyboard's (though the glyphs themselves are just my device's own):
Are you in the US?
I am
