Theoretically it could strengthen it and make it radioactive. Please don't. Florida actually has a lot of value when you can look past the hate and politics of too many residents.

Not even a little bit. The amount of energy in even our most powerful thermonuclear device is piddling compared to that contained within a hurricane. All you'd do is stir up a bunch of fallout and distribute it all over the place.

It doesn't have to match the power. It just has to F up the storms rotation enough that it disrupts itself. I don't know if it could be enough, but it certainly doesn't need to equal the power of the storm.

The shockwave might mess with the rotation. Or it would still be to little to make a difference. I'm no expert.
