I hope for at least one more year. Use the high draft picks and cap money to build the o line in a huge way and beef up and give depth to the secondary. Fields is at least an above-average QB, and if he had a great team around him, he may survive long enough to get a new coach, new GM AND a new QB so they’re all on the same cycle.

I’m so tired of the Bears getting a new QB then getting a new GM & coach a year later. They need to sync up, and in the meantime you can build a kickass team around him.

I don’t agree that kicking the can down the road is the best option. So what, we build up our team to a respectable place and then draft a QB in the 15-25 range in a couple of years?

Why not take the chance now when we have a surefire top 5 pick in a draft that has really great QB prospects and then build up the less important positions in the following years?

It just seems backwards to me. Like I get wanting to set up a good environment fora rookie QB and ideally we would already have that this year, but we don’t.

We have plenty of talent on offense. If you put a good QB on this team right now we'd be at least an upper half offense if not top 10-12
