At this point, firing getsy would do more harm than good in evaluating fields. He’s not learning a new system and playbook in one week in between games, so any replacement OC is going to keep the same system in place. You’re just adding another variable into the equation of evaluating your QB.
After the season they can evaluate the job Getsy did and see what they want to do. At this point, you’ve got to ride with what you have because you can’t re-do an entire system in one week and expect it to run successfully.
When an OC change happens. It’s just what’s dialed up, not a whole new system… there are designed runs that haven’t been called yet, haven’t seen any read option this year tbh.
