he was one of the worst pass blockers tackles in the league last year.
This year he's been injured and despite only playing 5 games has 7 penalties. 12th most among tackles. He ranks 42 in efficiency.
he's not mid. He's just a guy.
He was also a top 10 run blocker last year.
75.4 PFF grade that ranked 19th among players at the position. His 78.8 overall grade from Week 10 ranked ninth among left tackles. It’s almost like a rookie 5th rounder had some growing pains.
If we draft a LT in the top 5-10, I get it. But we’d have arguably the best swing tackle in the NFL, because Braxton is an average LT
When you need to talk about run blocking from your blind side protection. You already start the argument saying I know this guy sucks but he has a bears jersey so I need to blindly defend him.
Pff doesn't do partial season grades. There is no since week 10 he was blah.
He’s cleaned up penalties so far. He’s had 6 accepted penalties this season and 4 of them were week 1. He’s actually kind of flipped this year where his pass blocking has been good but run blocking has taken a hit.
He hasn't cleaned up. He's been injured.
He had a good week 1 (if you ignore the penalties) that's skewing his numbers due to the lack of playtime. He had his worst game of the season last week allowing 4 pressures to the lions.

Everyone can make a highlight reel. And it only takes about 15 seconds to see him getting manhandled
