These won't be the sides of ww3 because the bottom line won't start a war if it's against that lineup, they know they'd lose it.
You would think that, but America has been ramping up aggression and hybrid warfare against Iran, China and Russia simultaneously and trying to pick multiple fights at once so who knows. America is flailing and desperate, it cannot be counted on to act rationally

Japan and South Korea will have no choice, they are american bases. They will be targeted and dragged in if any large scale conflict occurs purely because those bases can't be left unchecked.
Winning is not the point of imperialist war, it merely makes money and misery.
