I love that organic food has become a CHUD thing now

Ask these people what a “toxin” is and they won’t be able to say much other than “bad thing”, despite the fact “toxin” does mean something specific.

The modern right has such a weird relation with "woo" stuff.

It's like they want to do hippy shit but also be super macho and anti-intellectual about it. So yes become a back-to-nature organic farmer, but also only raise pigs so you can eat nothing but bacon!

They've conflated "woo" with "retvrn", which I'd argue isn't surprising. The thing these people claim to want is for everyone to live on their own 10 acre property and never interact with anyone else. Results in a fetishization of "traditional" medicine over newfangled liberal vaccines.

Do not read up on hexagonal water, you will regret it and it's a lot more counterrevolutionary than hexbear users would initially believe.

Without looking it up, my first thought is “benzene.”

I definitely agree there was always a reactionary undercurrent to even the better elements of the "New Age" movement, whoever I do think it's earliest incarnation was coming from a place of cultural disenfranchisement with Cold War society. It's regressive undercurrent has only come more pronounced with time as the more genuine Leftist elements within it, what existed, died off.
