Every time I replay NV, I end up choosing Veronica over other companions.

the hidden dress quest is one of the cutest things in any video game ever
I offer the liberal enlightened centrist conclusion: all the companions are cool and good, though I think Raul, Gannon, & Veronica are my favorites. Hard not to take Boone sometimes though; the highlighting enemies is nice, him killing enemies before you even know they're there is nicer.
I share Boone's inability to not shoot at Caesar's Legion mfs on sight
Fuck! How could I forget that? Nvm boone is also GOAT. Mad respect for when you're approaching Cottonwood Cove, or the Fort etc. and he says "I'm gonna start shooting" and you can just say "Hell yeah brother, me too"
Boone is so GOATed you almost forget how cool he is. One For My Baby is legendary stuff - not to mention the one where he specifically says "fuck that NCR asshole, we aren't killing the captives, we're saving them"
Also Boone's VA is incredible. Basic tough guy persona, sure, but there's so much roiling beneath the surface

edit: I love them all, but I usually take Raul because it is very funny to me that he talks shit about you the whole time.

His combat opener line, "Here we go!!" sounds a little too enthusiastic. My headcanon is he really likes killing fash, deep down.
I've been playing with a mod that allows you to have multiple companions active at the same time based on your charisma stat so I've been running Arcade/Veronica/Boone. I do love them all though, even though some companions really feel like they got a lot more love than others (Cass has like three times as many voicelines as either Lily or Raul).
