Conservatives don't realize that Dwight Schrute and Ron Swanson are parodies which mock conservatives.

part of the problem is that Ron Swanson is portrayed as a likeable character, he's a liberal fantasy of a conservative with a heart of gold

I do like the concept of the character though. an anti-governnent libertarian who works in government for the sole purpose of ensuring that nothing actually gets done makes for a great satire of conservatives

it's especially funny since he works for the parks department, one of the most unequivocally good government services. like it's so evil to block the development of free public spaces that provide recreation and community, of all things. if only the writers weren't huge libs and actually portrayed him as the villain that he is

His main character flaw is that he's deeply insecure and emotionally immature. For the entire 6 seasons he's afraid that people will find out that he plays saxophone because he thinks it will emasculate him. Conservatives don't recognize this character flaw because they have the same character flaw in themselves.

What is this? Daily Wire's verson of Family Guy?

[–] SSJ2Marx@hexbear.net 25 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if every one of Family Guy's cutaway jokes was just the attack helicopter joke?

Complete with a character voiced by Patrick Warburton.

[–] Redcuban1959@hexbear.net 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Wait, really?? I knew Patrick was a conservative, but I didn't knew he was in the Daily Wire clone of Family Guy

No it's sadly real and on The Daily Wire's new streaming service, which is also sadly real.

but if you were lost in the woods, would you rather come across a bear or a twink

[–] Hestia@hexbear.net 6 points 1 year ago

Actually, Mr. Birch is incredibly comfortable in his sexuality. That's why he won't get upset when people assume he's gay, nor does he see it as an insult. Thus he can comfortably drink from a cup that says "I <3 wood"
