Welcome to c/news! Please read the Hexbear Code of Conduct and remember... we're all comrades here.

Rules:

-- PLEASE KEEP POST TITLES INFORMATIVE --

-- Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed. --

-- All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. --

-- If you are citing a twitter post as news please include not just the twitter.com in your links but also nitter.net (or another Nitter instance). There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/libredirect/ or archive them as you would any other reactionary source using e.g. https://archive.today . Twitter screenshots still need to be sourced or they will be removed --

-- Mass tagging comm moderators across multiple posts like a broken markov chain bot will result in a comm ban--

-- Repeated consecutive posting of reactionary sources, fake news, misleading / outdated news, false alarms over ghoul deaths, and/or shitposts will result in a comm ban.--

-- Neglecting to use content warnings or NSFW when dealing with disturbing content will be removed until in compliance. Users who are consecutively reported due to failing to use content warnings or NSFW tags when commenting on or posting disturbing content will result in the user being banned. --

-- Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society. --

Love that politics is just two ultranationalist parties sobbing and breathlessly accusing the other party of being insufficiently nationalist.

I could be sitting in a small coastal town in Ireland but noooo I had to be born in America and poor, so my chances of getting outta here are slim to none.

part of that bargain is your best friend breaks up with you and chokes your donkey to death with his severed fingers, so it's not all sunshine and rainbows in Eire

I feel like this is a reference to something I'm not picking up on

[–] Moss@hexbear.net 2 points 2 years ago

It's satire. People that like this shit are the subject matter of the joke.

It's wild how many liberals walk in here, see hexbear users mocking liberals, and then completely miss the point.

[–] AOCapitulator@hexbear.net 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Are they a hapless liberal? Or are they pretending to be to further the bit?

The world may never know

Just flee the country my man and go somewhere that gives the USA the finger when it comes to extradition.

[–] Rom@hexbear.net 35 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Him still winning the election while being on the lam would be the funniest shit ever.

[–] silent_water@hexbear.net 17 points 2 years ago

finally, a funnier outcome than him winning from jail

We could have our very own exiled government complete with president in Trump in that ex-pat village in Moscow. Sort of like those dorks who tried to do it with China.

[–] SexUnderSocialism@hexbear.net 12 points 2 years ago

The US government in exile, with president Trump running the country from his location, while Democrats and Republicans fight over biden-alert and ron-soy declaring themselves interim president. guaido

[–] Redcuban1959@hexbear.net 7 points 2 years ago

Trump is going to create his goverment in exile in the DPRK. MAGA Communism will win very-smart

[–] RonJonGuaido@hexbear.net 2 points 2 years ago

[–] SkibidiToiletFanAcct@hexbear.net 17 points 2 years ago

NotJustBikes is gaining following.

[–] Redcuban1959@hexbear.net 11 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Imagine if Trump flees to live in exile in the DPRK, if he loses the election sicko-wistful

[–] alcoholicorn@hexbear.net 9 points 2 years ago

Flying to Cuba with a plane full of gold bullion the day before the jury deliberates would be the funniest outcome.

[–] GrumpigPoopBalls@hexbear.net 4 points 2 years ago

guaido the DPRK recognizes the American Front for Democratic Liberation led by president-in-exile Donald J Trump as the legitimate government of the United States following widespread irregularities in the 2024 election

jesus, listening to the clip the actual phrasing is:

“I could have been relaxing at Mar-a-Lago or in the south of France ― which I would prefer being in this country, frankly.”

honestly, it sounds more like he's saying he would prefer being in this country [the US] rathern than be in the south of france. it absolutely sounds like a quick shout out to the USA in the middle of bragging about how he could have been living large instead of punishing himself with public service... which seems to be 90% of his messaging lately.

even the author leaves wiggle room about its interpretation before linking a tweet misquoting him and then tons of quote tweets of that tweet. what a nothing burger of an article.
