To further elude revenue agents and the police, bootleggers tricked out their cars with features that seem to be straight out of a spy movie or a Looney Tunes cartoon—devices that with a press of the button could release smoke screens, oil slicks and even bucket loads of tacks to puncture the tires of their pursuers.

Motherfuckers were just dropping anvils on each other and places big crates labeled "TNT" to blow shit up back then

if you didn't paint TNT in big letters on the crates back then the child laborers would smoke next to them and explode

See, I genuinely don't know whether you're joking or not.

Exploding cigars is one of my favorites since the feds actually tried that on Castro.

Means TV or someone should have a cartoon that's a rip off of Looney Toons where Castro is basically Bugs Bunny

Some of those old Looney Toons bits were amazing. Like the horny guy making out with a bomb with lipstick on it and getting blown up 😂

That was actually based on a true story

It took out at least 5 SS high ranking officers

Many of the jokes such as phrases like "What's up Doc?" were pop culture references.

Everyone was on drugs back then

Even baby food was loaded up with opium to keep the baby quiet

Well the revenue man wanted grand daddy bad

Headed up the holler with everything he had

Before my time but I've been told

He never came back from copperhead road
