Honest to god, it was ingrained into my head as a child that he wanted to kill anyone who used a computer. But seeing how ridiculous that sounds today and how it sounds eerily similar to any critique of capitalism, I’m thinking he has parts of a communist ideal.

It really looks just like someone who could be a radical leftist but decided to become a fascist at the last minute. And it’s also so fucking absurd it helps me understand why there’s a guy that thinks everything big is an op

I guess I’m basically asking how he is read by the hexbear powers that be

He fucking sucked ass. Chickenshit eco-fash trash sucked so much at his one thing that he mostly just ended up mutilating administrative assistants. He's the definition of what no theory does to a mf.

We don't only have emotes of historical figures we like dem bolso-pain hillary putin-wink bojo macron blinken-pain billionaire-tears freedom-and-democracy mission-accomplished

This website has many emojis of anti communist figures. Mostly as jokes and ironically. While he saw some of the issues plaguing modern life he was in no way a communist and was quite explicit in his hatred of the left in general

To me the Kaczynski emoji represents a cynical and nihilistic desire to abandon civilization and live in the woods. It's used ironically when one is presented with bleak details about modern life and technology, not to indicate that Kaczynski is correct, but that something is depressing enough it implies the poster is briefly lowered to Kaczynski's awful politics.

Sometimes it's just an "industrial revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race" kind of day

The rest of the time, it's a "Ray Blanchard and his consequences have been a disaster for the human race" kind of day leslie-shining

Could transition have saved her? Rest in power, victims of MKULTRA. Get strapped, go to the woods.

Is that a joke or are you serious about that?

As Jesus Christ said, "If it is your penis that causes you to sin, cast it off"

Take a read of Industrial Society and Its Future, he spends a lot of it hating on the left wing.

[–] Philosoraptor@hexbear.net 4 points 11 months ago

He's also oddly ahead of his time in his fixation on "wokeness" as what he mostly means by "the left."

There's a guy who sells pattesserie in my village who looks just like Ted

If you want to read further but past hexbear discussion on the topic of "Uncle Ted," he was talked about quite a bit around here when he died a year ago. I remember a couple threads where people were debunking the mythology you'll sometimes see portraying him as a kind of based anarchist. I can't seem to find the exact one I was thinking of, but here is another with 100 comments.
