In a diplomatic gesture of respect, President Putin passed the aux cable to Kim Jong Un.

Move over Chris Tucker and Jacky Chan, there's a new buddy cop movie on the scene.

Do they share a common language so they can talk about anything? Or do they need a translator for most stuff?

Kim went to international school in Switzerland, so he would know English and German. I’m not sure if North Korea teaches Russian like Cuba did though.

Putin obviously knows English and German from his posting in Germany during his KGB days.

Yeah. He was a lieutenant colonel assigned to the East German stasi. Can find archive copies of his stasi identification floating around online.

I'm guessing they both have just enough English that along with some hand gestures it works out okay

I've always assumed that Putin can understand spoken English far better than he can speak it.

Putin can probably speak English well enough, there's just little need for him to do so publicly. If his accent isn't perfect it'd get so much scrutiny, so better to just use translators.

They’re launching their own “Comedians in Cars” show since sanctions prevented the show from airing in their countries

Certainly looks a lot like one

That's a thing in a lot of newer cars. Contains various sensors like the "is the windshield wet" sensor, daylight sensor, and so on. I guess from googling it seems like the main thing is a collision detection (prevention?) sensor? Maybe LIDAR or something?

Top left corner with a suction cup, not centered and built into the car.

A buddy comedy where two college friends meet back up in their mid 30's to reenact the original Blues Brothers movie.

In the video that was published by Russian media, it shows Kim and Putin taking turns driving the car. Feels like a dudes rock moment. The car is an Aurus Senat.
