As a millennial this caused me to break from reality
I did the same thing.
Use signal or element.
Make others switch or ghost them. If they want to continue talking to you, then they can spend 5 seconds making sure your data isn't mined by AI.
This seems good and all on paper but in the real world this means you become a social outcast that's left out of everything
I'm ok with continuing to talk to people who aren't ready or willing to understand that.

I quite like using it in Messages. But I wish it was consistent with activating on the phone via the home button and that the history carried over as I don't think the latter it does.
