A community to post anything related to Luigi Mangione.
Please respect Lemmy.world ToS. Don't plot who should be murdered next in this community.

Surely this would be the Reddit admins banning the subreddit? I can't imagine the mods banning their own subreddit, if that's even possible.
I got banned permanently off Reddit just for supporting him, that's what pushed me to find an alternative
Welcome! How did you hear about Lemmy?
Just did a bit of googling and it was recommended
Nice
Should someone try to point them to here?
Good luck... reddit admins/mods don't like lemmy references. Only attempt if you don't mind losing your account or permabans from whatever sub you post to.
I have mentioned Lemmy several times on /r/RedditAlternatives without any issue
Of course on other subs that would indeed get you in trouble
Are they really that sensitive?
Reddit mods? lol. Yeah.
It's not like Lemmy mods are any better.
It's the second comment from you I see in a few hours about Lemmy mods.
Is there anything you want to document on !yepowertrippinbastards@lemmy.dbzer0.com ?
And I told you a few times already that the mod & admin there is part of the problem.
Edit: And we can add woelkchen@lemmy.world to the list as well. This is getting ridiculously dumb on here. Bans me from !Fediverse@lemmy.world because I called out his trolling here: https://fedia.io/m/technology@lemmy.world/t/1620874/Germany-hits-62-7-renewables-in-2024-energy-mix-with-solar/comment/8810407#entry-comment-8810407

Wait, that's the reason?
@woelkchen@lemmy.world , is there any other reason for that ban?

Called @db0@lemmy.dbzer0.com a bastard on a power trip, constant behavior of insults and hostility.

The specific insult at db0 was made today, a few hours before I saw it and acted upon it, then looked at the post history and removed further trolling.
Not all comments are ban-worthy when looked at individually but there is clearly a wider agenda at play. Just look at his bio: "Fediverse is worse than Reddit. Mod abuse, admin abuse, disinformation, and people simping for literal terrorists." A person with the openly stated dogma that "Fediverse is worse than Reddit" is not active on the Fediverse to have actually meaningful discussions, he's here to be hostile. He's constantly flamebaiting, only to then play the victim card.
As for the specific comment linked in that quote: I've DMed to one of the mods there. I said that I accepted that my comment was wrong, said sorry, I should have just ignored it, and that it won't happen again. I've since personally blocked him as well. I'm not getting lured by him any longer.
Thanks for clarifying!
Keep zooming to that grave Reddit
MarioMangitwo?
Brian Thompson was a mass murderer who deserved to die, as are his peers
The chance of that being setup by the actual Luigi Mangione is 0%.
Other than that, nothing about this says anything about why it was banned. If they were posting beheading videos with CEO faces plastered on top and details on where those CEOs live and go to work, it would be weird if they didn't get banned.
Not on Reddit, not on Lemmy, not on any social media that is at least halfway decent.
Spez getting shot with bullets with /r/jailbait, subreddit, moderator written on them when?
Didn't the r/jb mods just add him as a gag? I didn't think he instilled himself or actively moderated it.
Lots of reasons to hate on spez, but being added as a mod to an ephebophile sub against his will isn't one.

Im surprised r/freeluigi and r/luigemangionejustice havent been banned they banned r/mariosbro and r/freeluigi2 as well as some others. Our corporate overlords are pissing their $5,000 pairs of designer slacks. And look at the loosers on r/fuckluigimangione it would be funny if it wasn't so sad https://imgur.com/gallery/rbqSckH
That one infamous lemmy troll who created all those troll police communities like ThankThePolice and that one rdrama satellite community is also a mod at fuckluigimangione.
I'll probably get downvoted for this but I feel like Lemmy is like the salty friend who can't get over their ex and gets off on the issues going on in their life without them.
Ehh, more like were are all hanging out at a local bar and the owner all of a sudden got a case of assholeism. Started going fucking nuts, screwing with food/drink quality and availability, started fucking over the servers and bartenders. We hate him and want all the good people to get out and the place to burn to the ground.
In this case, the ex is an influential person with millions of friends, so what they do matters.
It's not weird or particularly unhealthy to look back at the person you were close to, but betrayed you, and realize that all of your interactions with them were actually them being an asshole, and the people who still support them are assholes too. Nor is it particularly unhealthy to have a bit of schadenfreude about the suffering of those who chose the asshole over you, while hopefully still having some sympathy and hope that they escape.
It's how I feel about Taylor swift fans, at least.
It's not that simple. People want to participate where communities are, some are still largely on reddit. There's also the free labor active submitters do regarding submissions, and they decide on what platform they participate in.

So much of the community atmosphere of the site has been undercut and replaced by automated accounts that generate content from historical human conversations. Like, straight up, whole content threads get lifted and shifted between posts to create the illusion of participation. If you've been on the site for a while, its downright surreal.
Between that and the militant banning of anyone who isn't an empty-headed twit or a reflexive cheerleader, there's very little human activity left on the site to speak of. You're not in a community, you're in a graveyard. Most of the people you're talking to are digital ghosts.

Less and less by year. Again, it can't be stressed how much of Reddit is entirely automated. A handful of accounts, often directly or indirectly managed by the source of the content, are doing the lion's share of the posting and commenting. Real human interaction is being minimalized. Reddit's real money isn't in posters anymore, its in lurkers. You're supposed to look, not touch.
Good for him, he should spend some time also doing some other things.
He should spend time out. Touch some grass. Jurors should be aware of nullification.
Nullification might not even be necessary. Several of the alleged photos taken had him have some minor differences that can tell me they are different person.
Sure
Posting violent content? Aren't there literally gore subreddits over there where you can watch people get tortured?
If the subreddit for fat shaming got banned, I highly doubt gore subreddits still exist lol
