Be nice or I'll stab ~~myself~~ ~~every citizen~~ everyone in the country.

Legal permanent residents, international students, etc. are all going to have to suffer American prices too, but otherwise yeah, it's not themselves they're hurting

[–] sporkler@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Well, 70 million but they're very passionate about what they hate

Do it, chicken. Every Canadian who is doimg their part protesting and boycotting the US will be glad to know they are getting on your nerves.

Fruit and vegetable prices are exploding in Canada right now due to that motherfucker.

Well good thing it's spring now right? Farmers markets are starting up. Look into local CSA's.

Buy local was always the goal for food sovereignty activists. Eating seasonally is less burdensome with the greenhouses we're building, but the whole world needs to adopt buy local goals anyway.

Am American: Honestly, I wholeheartedly applaud the unity so many people in so many countries are showing in the face of this unceasing cavalcade of abject idiocy and pointed maliciousness from our government. I’m fucking heartbroken it’s happening, but I’m glad you guys are mostly sticking together and taking a hard line, because it is absolutely the right call, and moreover, has the greatest chance of positive outcome for far more people across the world.

They literarily force us to be even more economic allies as we were before.

American here: it’s ok; you guys should just make a new trade union with blackjack and hookers, and orangeboi will do his freedom fries trade war idiocy, censorship, anti-intellectualism, and fascism thing, which will drive all the smart and empathetic people out.

I low key expect them to stop allowing citizens to leave the country without an exit visa (Back in the USSR starts playing in the background) at some point.

I love your Futurama reference. I would totally back Bender over Trump for president.

“If the European Union works with Canada in order to do economic harm to the USA, large scale Tariffs, far larger than currently planned, will be placed on them both in order to protect the best friend that each of those two countries has ever had!” Mr. Trump wrote.

First, with friends like that, who needs enemies, and second, Europe is not a country.

[–] ikidd@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Do it, you fucking cowards. Every ridiculous clown policy like this helps other countries to justify grinding their own fascists out of existence. It's been a godsend, keep it coming.

This is why the media should be associating tariffs with bailouts. The only US industries left after this will only be those that get bailouts.

[–] selson@lemm.ee 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I wish he would just do it already, this on again off again bullshit is getting old. Nut up or shut up Donald

[–] Phoenicianpirate@lemm.ee 11 points 2 months ago (1 children)

What is so incredible is how they consider him a strong and decisive leader when he flipflops like a fish out of water all the fucking time.

[–] sporkler@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago

When he figures out he doesn't actually have the best people and we've been benefitting from our international relationships more than we've been contributing on actual physical products he will learn a basic electronics principal I learned long ago: once you let out the magic smoke that makes the thing go, it's damn near impossible to get it back in there
