Looks like he already found it, he just has no clue how to reach it because it's glued to the ceiling.

Looks like a VR set and the cables are hung so they stay up but can travel with your movement as opposed to having them tight to the wall and/or tripping on them. Looks like anything after the hook on the upper left is meant to move with you.
