- Be respectful: no harassment, hate speech, bigotry, and/or trolling.
- Encourage conversation in your OP. This means including heavily implicative subject matter when you can and also engaging in your thread when possible.
- Avoid controversial topics (e.g. politics or societal debates).
- Stay calm: Don’t post angry or to vent or complain. We are a place where everyone can forget about their everyday or not so everyday worries for a moment. Venting, complaining, or posting from a place of anger or resentment doesn't fit the atmosphere we try to foster at all. Feel free to post those on !goodoffmychest@lemmy.world

Let's put it this way: after I put on my shoes yesterday I no longer had the energy to go out.
Long Covid sucks. 5 years and counting.
Generally something like 10/15 MJoules. Can go up to ~30MJ on Christmas or other family events.
Very precise I approve
I’ve made porridge in the morning, pizza in the afternoon, and also washed some laundry after that. According to a very rough estimate, all of that totals to about 5.5 MJ of energy. In reality, I’ve used a little more than that by using other appliances too, but I think that value is in the correct ballpark.
Today I didn’t drive anywhere, so the chemical energy contained in gasoline wasn’t included. Also, haven’t taken a shower yet (it’s cold in here). Heating the water and the rest of the building uses district heating, but I have no idea how much energy that is per day.
Barely enough to get through my day, then all of the energy when I'm trying to go to bed.
will respond in detail later
I see what you did there
how's the seitan quest going :D
Been Googling! Need to wait for payday really though
Not enough 😑
I'm bipolar, so most days I'm either the most productive machine of a person in the room or I'm burnt out to a crisp and want to kill myself
Really depends! Lots of things can affect it. How much I've eaten, my menstrual cycle, heat, etc
I have a lot of energy because I exercise daily, eat a lot of food, get enough sleep and take sipralexa 10 mg daily
Basically the opposite of depression, no idea if this is harmful aha but it feels damn good
While I applaud your enthusiasm for life reading your comment makes me feel tired
It varies. All last week I was exhausted. I thought “oh. This must be what being old is like.” But this week I have normal energy. I’m getting stuff done and not struggling just to stay awake. So mysterious. Idk why my energy level fluctuates so much.
