Great to see the Russians agreeing with the ceasefire. /s

It will be even more embarrassing for Putin, when he probably doesn't show up to meet Zelenskyy on Thursday, despite it was his own suggestion!

It rreally starts to look like tanks are off the menu very regularly, have the soviet stockpiles finally dried up?

People looking at Satellite data concluded that the stockpiles dried up in late 2024. There are still some tanks in storage but they appear to be in really bad condition and so between restoring old ones and making new ones they can only make 1-3 tanks per day. Russia was forced to make hard decisions about tank use starting last year.

Most other equipment will hit those same problems latter this year, or early next year - but for now Russia is still attacking with everything they have.

Note that all the information is based on open sources. I'm sure governments have spies and other secret information/data. They mostly are not talking, but if they do they know more than me.

Tanks and AFV's usage have both fallen off. Reliance on other vehicles has steadily increased. This started a little over a year ago.

The last remaining massive stockpile of Soviet equipment was artillery. Ukraine has been beating the shit out of them for the past year. Artillery has been Russia's "god of war" since pre-WWII. Destroying it will break their primary weapon of offense and defense.

Which makes sense, as repairing those tanks, would take some time, then bringing them to the front and then Ukraine needs time to destroy them. So it makes sense that it slows down about now.

The slow down was in late 2024.

Yes, the remaining ones are either very old or in very poor condition, so they are cannibalizing to restore what they can.
On top of that Russian production of gun barrels is very low, allegedly because they can't make the necessary equipment to make gun barrels.

The museums are no longer handing out their last exhibition pieces.
